Wisdom quote
At some stages you will experience a plateau - as if everything had stopped. This is the hard point of the journey. Know that once the process has started, it doesn't stop; it only appears to stop from where you are looking.
- Ram Dass

Buitenverwachting Estate

A shot I took a few years ago on Buitenverwachting Wine Estate in the Constantia Valley

Table Cloth

A common sight in Cape Town: Table Mountain with the famous cloth covering it - this shot taken from the V&A Waterfront

Cape Town CBD at Dusk

Taken on the way to Signal Hill: Cape Town central business district at dusk, with a view of the northern suburbs.

Camps Bay Sunset from The Bay Hotel

While enjoying a relaxing evening with Dennis at The Bay Hotel, this sunset presented itself to us one late winter day in August 2006.

Lion's Head from Camps Bay Beach

No matter how often you come down to Camps Bay beach, the energy is always special - and so are the views, this one of Lion's Head, indicating some not so nice weather announcing itself.

A Froggie in my garden

Well... not exactly from Cape Town itself, but if there's such a cute froggy in my garden, how could I resist?

Dry, yet growing

An abstract shot of a plant in the dry Omaruru River bed

Yummy tea

I was chilling outside at Solveigh's place when I noticed this bee arriving for a quick recharge. Couldn't help but deploy my Fuji F30's macro mode.

Still Life

Both Solveigh and I love taking pictures - this one from one of our regular morning walks around the Pristelwitz Farm just outside Omaruru

Tiba and Mokoro (cross-processed)

I just love Paintshop Pro X's new Time Machine feature. This one is of Tiba and Mokoro being run through the cross-processor.

Tiba and Mokoro (normal)

One day, just before sunset, Solveigh and I (and the dogs, of course) climbed up this outcrop just outside the Erongo Mountain Reserve - with the northern part of the crater in the background. What a place - what a view! And the gods/dogs loved every minute of it!

Erongo Sunset

Also from that outcrop... a lovely sunset presented itself to us

Erongo Sunrise

On the way to the Spitzkoppe, we came across this sunrise. No colour enhancement necessary - it was just like that!

Guess What!

Now guessing what this is, but if you have problems... it's dassie droppings at Bushman's Paradise at the Spitzkoppe. You only get there by climbing up a steep rock as it's situated on a plateau high above the ground. Up there, though, it must have been paradise for the early inhabitants. Amazing rock formations, bushman paintings and a view to die for!

Spitzkoppe with dogs

Tiba and Mokoro posing nicely for me on our way to the Spitzkoppe

Creeping up

No matter where and how, nature always finds a way, as shown so nicely on this pic of a tree growing up a rock crevice.

Rock Climbers

Solveigh and the dogs... my favourite rock climbers! :)

Just a hole, but how?

Heaven knows how this hole came into existence. Made for a lovely photographic subject, though.
