Wisdom quote
Intelligence is the capacity to see, to understand, to live your own life according to your own nature. That is what intelligence is. And what is stupidity? Following others, imitating others, obeying others. Looking through their eyes, trying to imbibe their knowledge as your knowledge-that is stupidity.
- Osho

Introduction to InspiredMind

A warm welcome to InspiredMind! This site is my personal venture. It's a portal of sorts, pointing to products, concepts or ideas that you are unlikely to find "in the mainstream". It's also a content repository, with interesting articles and links to other sites of interest. I hope you enjoy your stay. If you have something to contribute, I'd love to you to share it with me and other InspiredMind readers.

The Hunger Project - Why We Don’t Teach People to Fish

Very interesting article on why they don't teach people to fish. Enjoy the read.

Posters for the Soul

I just found the most amazing posters on Posters for the Soul, especially the Asian series made by Gaelyn Larrick. Go over there and have a look. Stunningly beautiful and well worth your support!

Web Trend Map 2007 Version 2.0

If you're involved in the Web, you've gotta see this. Quote from their site: "We have done it before: The 200 most successful websites on the web, ordered by category, proximity, success, popularity and perspective. We have done it again – and better. Upon popular demand – here is iA’s next Web Trend Map". Enjoy!

Where does the money come from? Woher stammt eigentlich das Geld?

Brilliant video in English with German subtitles. 47min, 120MB, well worth the time. It may be another step you take in the right direction.

The Fractional Reserve system, the ability to create money out of debt can be described as the scourge of modern times, and the prime reason for the huge imbalances between rich and poor. Sure, those in poverty usually lack the thinking power, and being pretty much trapped in a cycle where the little they have is spent on food, physical or mental, that is of inferior quality, there is little way out. That said, may the publicizing of this video contribute to the abolition of this insane and eventually cannibalistic system.

Jim Dreaver: Buttons

Jim sent another newsletter, this time appropriately called "Buttons". I particularly enjoyed this sentence: "But as we become more established in our true, awakened nature, we are far less at the effect of those outer forces. We then bring greater clarity, confidence, and focus to the problems needing our attention." Spot on. For the full newsletter text, see below.

The Meatrix

Found this link via Shanti's Don Pedro Newsletter. Nice animation on this rather sad subject. The subject? Modern-day meat and dairy production by the agrochemical corporations, their use of growth hormones, their polluting the environment, their holding the animals under despicable conditions, their destroying of small and sustainable farms, etc. etc.

The Flash movies are educating and tell you what you can do to stop this and to support those who still engage in organic and sustainable farming.

This should be of particular importance to the USA, where the state of health of the majority of the population has been on a steady decrease, so much so that it greatly affects their intelligence and ability to choose a benevolent administration.

The Master Key System by Charles F Haanel

Through "The Secret" I came across Charles F Haanel's Master Key System. Fascinated by it I googled him and came across a site from where I downloaded the 24-part course, which I subsequently saved in PDF format (see link below).

Sandy Stevenson: Unconditional Love

My friend Karina sent me this beautiful piece by Sandy Stevenson. Enjoy the read:

I love you as you are, as you seek to find your own special way to relate to the world. I honour your choices to learn in the way you feel is right for you.

I know that it is important that you are the person you want to be and not someone that others or I think you 'should' be. I realize that I cannot know what is best for you, although perhaps sometimes I think I do. I have not been where you have been, viewing life from the angle you have. I do not know what you have chosen to learn, how you have chosen to learn it, with whom or in what time period. I have not walked life looking through your eyes, so how can I know what you need.

Jim Dreaver: Seeing

Everything that can be seen changes, but you are the seeing, that which never changes. Know yourself as the seeing, and you'll always be fulfilled, at peace, and in the flow of life. You will be on purpose with your own unique mission or destiny here.

Jim Dreaver: Freedom

Freedom. It is one of the most cherished words in the English language. Certainly it is so here in America, where we value our freedom more than anything. Yet what does it mean, to be free?

A healthy alternative to washing powder

Trying out things for yourself rather than just accepting what's been presented to you in your supermarket is far more fun, especially when most of what's sold is actually state-sanctioned garbage. So the other day I stumbled across a suggestion in Biophile magazine on how to make your own dishwashing detergent - and off I went to get the ingredients.

Simply amazing: home-made Kombucha Tea

Readers of this site will already know my penchant for trying out all sorts of odd things - stuff most people laught about. It's obviously because they know shit, and it's easier to ridicule or laugh than to take that step themselves. Anyway, I don't know exactly when, but it was clearly more than a year that I made my last Kombucha Tea, which until last week lived a happy life in the back of my fridge - until it met its maker.

Jim Dreaver: Master Your Mind

As you become more present in your life, your awareness naturally expands and becomes more multidimensional. You tap into the true power of your mind, because now you know that while you have a mind, you are not your mind. You break free of the box of either/or, black/white thinking. Paradox and uncertainty are no longer seen as threatening, but rather are viewed as opportunities for engaging in fresh, creative thinking.

Orgonise Africa

For many years Georg Ritschl has been involved with orgone energy, and I think it's long overdue that I'm pointing to his site and his efforts to rebalance the planet. He's operating from Johannesburg, South Africa, but his products are available internationally. Go support him - he and other planetary healers could be the recipients of *your* charity, rather than wasting it on 'you know what'!

Shivambu Shastra - Healing with Urine Therapy

Interesting link on Urine Therapy. For your consideration.

A Natural Age of Weaning

I came across an interesting by Katherine Dettwyler, PhD - Department of Anthropology, Texas A and M University, about the natural age of weaning, which I am offering for your consideration.

They want your Soul!

Came across this 16min (64mb) video on Google after reading this fascinating website on the July 7 London bombings. This item has been set to static - just make sure your brain isn't set that way too when you watch it. Can't really say 'enjoy', but.. well, take good note.

Jim Dreaver: Learn to let go

Our stories are deep-rooted, and until we begin the journey of awakening, define us. Holding on to them, especially our inner demons, the stories that cause emotional pain, are major causes of fear-based reactions in the body. They result in that tight, knotted or sick feeling in the gut that signals stress. While these emotions certainly feel real while they last, they are in fact triggered by the thoughts and beliefs, the memory of a prior situation, in the mind. Seeing the unreality of those memories, from the perspective of consciousness, your wholeness, now, is the perceptual shift that frees you. Then letting go of the past happens naturally, and you experience true emotional harmony.

Suppressed Medical Discovery: Dr. Robert C. Beck ( Cancer,AIDS, anything viral)

Amazing 2hr video (400mb!) on Google of the late Dr Robert C. Beck at the Granada Forum on a cure for Cancer, AIDS, Lupus, Epstein-Barr, Herpes, etc. - information that according to Dr Beck has been deliberately surpressed for reasons you surely can figure out yourself. It's about blood electrification using micro currents for purifying blood and thus promoting better health. Long story, go watch it - or ask me for a copy in Flash Video format on CD.
